JAKARTA - PT Satyamitra Kemas Lestari Tbk (SMKL) is developing environmentally-friendly paper pulp moulding products to boost revenue growth.

Thie David, Corporate Secretary of SMKL, mentioned that SMKL is establishing a joint venture with Guangzhou Yi Song Paper Products Company Ltd (Yi Song) for this project.

“The paper pulp moulding product development will pose positive impact on the company’s growth,” David said, as quoted today (22/1).

The joint venture is called PT Satyamitra Yisong Indonesia, and it has a domestic investment status, with authorised capital registered at IDR 30 billion. The deed of incorporation was issued by notary office yesterday (21/1).

As of September 2024, SMKL recorded revenue of IDR 1.30 trillion, contributed from carton box sales of IDR 632.90 billion, offset IDR 367.85 billion, pre-print IDR 263.70 billion, and rigid box IDR 43.57 billion.

At that period, the comprehensive profit for the year reached IDR 23.31 billion, increasing from IDR 12.31 billion. (LK/ZH)
