IDX suspends LINK’s shares
JAKARTA – Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) temporarily suspends transactions of PT Link Net Tbk (LINK) today (24/1).
Yulianto Aji Sadono, Head of Transaction Supervision Division at Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), said that the temporary suspension applies to both regular and cash markets.
“In order to give sufficient time for market players to carefully consider their decision to invest in LINK according to adequate information,” said Sadono, as quoted from information disclosure.
The temporary suspension of LINK’s transaction is related to its significant increase in cumulative price. Yesterday (23/1), it was closed at IDR 2,310, up 24.52% from IDR 1,855 per share recorded the day before (22/1).
Prior to this, Rininta Agustina Widya Pratika, Corporate Secretary of LINK, gave clarifications regarding news of Axiata Malaysia to sell off its portion in Link Net for USD 1 billion.
“The company acknowledges that the shareholder is in the process of exploring the access for potential investors,” Pratika admitted. (LK/ZH)
