Yan Palace increases stake in NEST to 5%
JAKARTA - The share of Xiamen Yan Palace Bird's Nest Industry Co Ltd (Yan Palace) became 5% in PT Esta Indonesia Tbk (NEST) as of Friday (24/1). Yan Palace is a China-based importer of swallow's nest products.
Huang Jian, Chairman of Yan Palace, said that the additional investment is expected to boost NEST's business growth in the future. ‘We have been partners for a long time and NEST has shown very positive growth,’ he said in a press release.
On the other hand, Hoo Anton Siswanto, President Director of NEST revealed that the additional shares from Yan Palace are a tangible form of support for the company's sustainability. ‘The company will continue to be committed to maintaining investor confidence,’ he said.
With an exercise price of IDR370 and 8.22 million shares purchased, the transaction value was IDR8.04 billion. The share portion increased from 197.4 million to 205.62 million or the previous percentage of 4.8% to 5% of the listed shares of 4.11 billion.
The number of NEST shareholders is 2,681 with the final beneficiary of the share ownership, Hoo Anton Siswanto.
It is known that PT Tunas Esta Indonesia (TEI), a subsidiary of NEST, is increasing the capacity of its swallow's nest factory. In 2026, the construction of a factory with a capacity of 35 tonnes per year in Demak, Central Java, will be completed in 2026. (LK/LM)
