JAKARTA - Foreign investor HSBC-Fund SVS A/C Chengdong Investment Corp-Self, who sold the most shares this time, started the list of changes in share ownership above 5% of the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Thursday, January 23. With a share part of 10.45%, the investor sold around 15.41 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) through PT Bank HSBC Indonesia.

PT Fersindo Nusa Jaya then sold approximately 3.54 million shares of the oil and gas tanker company PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) through PT Dwidana Sakti Sekuritas. Next, PT Soteria Wicaksana Investama sold 2.50 million shares of PT Distribusi Voucher Nusantara Tbk, a private company that provides digital and IT services.

PT Batavia Prosperindo Internasional Tbk sold 2.10 million shares of PT Malacca Trust Wuwungan Insurance Tbk after that. PT Panin Sekuritas Tbk was used to complete this transaction, and the controller saw a drop in shares from 87.19% to 87.12%.

This time, PT Putra Borneo Agro Lestari was the last investor to relinquish shares. PT KB Valbury Sekuritas was used to release 600,000 shares of PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk.

However, the buying of shares did not seem overly crowded. PT Griyainsani Cakrasadaya made the biggest share acquisition this time around, purchasing 1.62 million shares of PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk (MIKA). This controller increased its control to 63.97% with the help of PT Mandiri Sekuritas.

PT Panin Sekuritas Tbk subsequently acquired about 1.5 million shares of PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA), and PT Startel Communication then acquired 700,000 shares of PT Jaya Trishindo Tbk (HELI).

ELSA shares provide support services to the oil and gas industry, whereas HELI shares hire helicopters.

This time, the market hints also noted the stock buyback activity. The chemical business PT Lautan Luas Tbk (LTLS) acquired 125 thousand of its own shares after leading bread manufacturer PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (ROTI) acquired 37,500 of its own shares. (KD)
