JAKARTA - On Friday, January 24, news from PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) led the list of changes in share ownership above 5% of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. SEP International Netherlands B.V., a foreign investor, became a new investor and acquired a 25% stake.

Through PT OCBC Sekuritas Indonesia, the investor purchased 1.62 billion shares in the holding company in the new and renewable energy industry.

Three separate HGII investors, however, were there and actively selling shares. Rudy Chandra reduced the number of shares from 27.2% to 18.7% by releasing 552.50 million shares. Then, 536.25 million shares of HGII were released by Hendrianto Thamrin and Robert Njo, both of whom saw a drop in shares from 26.4% to 18.15 percent. Additionally, the three were assisted by PT OCBC Sekuritas in conducting the sales.

Additionally, PT Esta Indonesia Tbk (NEST) now has Xiamen Yan Palace Bird's Nest Industry Co., Ltd. as a new shareholder. Through PT KGI Sekuritas Indonesia, they purchased 20.62 million shares of NEST, representing a 5% share percentage. NEST shares are involved in the trade of swallow bird nests and the cultivation of swallow birds.

With a share amount of 12.13%, Penfabric Sdn Berhad also became a new investor in PT Century Textile Industry Tbk (CNTX). Through PT INA Sekuritas Indonesia, this investor purchased over 8.5 million shares of the fabric manufacturer.

PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk announced the next share purchase, acquiring over 333 million shares in PT Suryamas Dutamakmur Tbk (SMDM), a real estate business. Right now, this controller has 98.97% of the shares.

Additionally, PT Griyainsani Cakrasadaya was still purchasing MIKA shares, which are owned by PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk, the hospital manager. This time, the purchase amounted to 2.36 million shares.

However, the biggest share reduction this time was made by foreign investor Levoca Enterprise Ltd. A staggering 5.19 billion shares of PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR), a manufacturing and infrastructure company, were given up by this investor. Its ownership of shares decreased from 29.2% to 26.21%.

Lastly, a total of 41.40 million shares of the mining holding firm PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were sold by HSBC-Fund SVS A/C Chengdong Investment Corp-Self. (KD)
