Here are top 10 destinations for Indonesian outbound travellers in December 2024
JAKARTA – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that outbound trips by Indonesian nationals (wisnas) reached 810,440 in December 2024, up from 750,060 in November 2024. Meanwhile, trips in December 2024 grew by 19.13% compared to December 2023, when there were 680,290 trips.
Of these trips, Malaysia ranked as the top destination for Indonesian outbound travellers, followed by Saudi Arabia and Singapore. The ranking of destination countries did not differ from that of November 2024.
Here is the complete list of top destination countries for Indonesian travellers in December 2024. The top three are Malaysia (29.25%), Saudi Arabia (15.47%), and Singapore (14.74%). Other destinations include China (5.48%), Thailand (5.12%), Japan (4%), Cambodia (3.34%), Timor-Leste (2.70%), Australia (2.11%), South Korea (1.93%), and other countries (15.87%).
For comparison—albeit only insignificantly different—the top destinations in November 2024 were Malaysia (28.29%), Saudi Arabia (16.99%), Singapore (13.86%), China (5.89%), Thailand (5.94%), Japan (4.05%), Cambodia (3.34%), Timor-Leste (3.24%), Australia (1.78%), South Korea (2.19%), and other countries (14.43%).
