JCI saw 1.11% slippage to 7,030.06 today
JAKARTA – Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) was closed weakly today (3/2), down 1.11% or 79.14 points lower to 7,030.06 from its opening position at 7,109.20.
This decline brought JCI to its lowest level within the past 10 trading days.
According to IDNFinancials monitoring, JCI had been consistent in the red zone after the opening bell. It hit 6,933.14, the lowest spot, before rebounding to a safer level.
Several banking stocks were seen weakening today (3/2). PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) was seen down 3.73%, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) down 1.06%, and PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (BDMN) down 1.17%.
Meanwhile, other stocks with jumbo market cap were seen declining, as well. For example, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) slipped 1.09%, PT Barito Renewable Energy Tbk (BREN) also dropped by 6.93%, and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) down 1.13%. (LK/KR/ZH)
