JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) recorded net profit of IDR 55.78 trillion in 2024. With said achievement, investors now highly anticipate the amount of dividend for the fiscal year.

Darmawan Junaidi, President Director of BMRI, confirms that this state-owned bank will continue to distribute dividend. “Regarding dividend, Bank Mandiri has maintain dividend payout ratio of 60% within the past five years, in line with the government’s direction as the primary shareholders,” he added, Wednesday (5/2).

If said 60% ratio is maintained, the dividend to be allocated for the fiscal year 2024 is projected to reach IDR 33.46 trillion.

Within the past years, Bank Mandiri’s dividend payout ratio has been stable at 60%. However, there is a slight downtrend detected, in which the ratio slipped from 60.11% in 2021 to 60.02% in 2022, and down again to 59.99% in 2023.

Junaidi further mentioned that the dividend payment will still consider capital requirements of Bank Mandiri to promote long-term business growth.

“With solid financial performance, investors expect Bank Mandiri’s dividend to remain appealing, in line with the bank’s commitment to maintain the balance between investors’ return rate and capital improvement,” he said. (DK/ZH)
