Foreign sales have not subsided, net sell 1.86 billion shares

JAKARTA – With a net sell of 1.86 billion shares, foreign investors' stock buying and selling activities on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Thursday, February 6, stayed in the red zone.
Only about 3.92 billion shares were bought by foreigners, which is significantly less than the 5.79 billion shares sold.
Today, PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) once again saw the largest sale of shares from foreign buyers, totaling around 3.16 billion shares. The sales volume was only 1.88 billion, so the parent issuer of this digital service had a net sell of 1.28 billion shares.
PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) followed with a net sell of almost 270 million shares. Over 527 million shares of this national bank were sold by foreigners, purchasing about 258.24 million shares. Following the release of 122.10 million shares, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), another banking entity, also made it onto the top sell list with a net sell of 54.76 million shares.
Foreigners then sold 107.13 million shares of PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA), so the IDX reported a net sell of 73.04 million shares for this mining contractor company. Additionally, nearly 38 million shares of PT Visi Media Asia Tbk (VIVA) were sold by foreigners. But since no VIVA shares were bought, the media company's parent issuer made a net sell of the same volume.
However, with a net buy of 72.46 million shares, energy infrastructure firm PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastuktur Tbk (BIPI) displaced BRMS to the top of the top buy list. Foreigners bought 107.79 million BRMS shares, but only sold around 35 million shares.
Following the purchase of 39 million of its shares by foreigners, PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk, an oil and gas tanker company, made a net buy of 22.28 million shares. Furthermore, a net buy of 14.77 million shares was made by PT Sinergi Inti Andalan Prima Tbk (INET). Approximately 33.73 million shares of this connection infrastructure company were sold by foreigners, who also purchased 48.50 million shares.
With a net purchase of roughly 13 million shares each, sharia banking issuer PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) and telecom issuer PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) subsequently closed the top buy list. Foreign acquisitions of FREN were 37 million shares, compared to 21.05 million shares of BRIS. (KD)
