JAKARTA – Foreign investor transactions at the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Monday (10/2) were still dominated by selling activity.

The total volume of shares purchased by foreign investors (foreign buy) amounted to 1.96 billion shares. With a selling volume (foreign sell) of 4.78 billion shares, foreign investors recorded a net sale (net sell) of 1.96 billion shares.

The IDX once again listed PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) as the issuer with the largest net sell of the day, at 1.83 billion shares. With a purchase volume of only 869.66 million shares, foreign investors sold almost 2.7 billion GOTO shares.

With a net sell of 57.11 million shares, state telecommunications issuer PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) came next, followed by mining contractor PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) with 53.96 million shares.

DEWA's foreign sales volume was nearly 90 million shares, while TLKM's was approximately 105.91 million shares.

After more than 101.94 million of its shares were sold by foreigners, PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) eventually carried out a net sell of 42.79 million shares.

National bank PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) concluded with a net sell of about 37 million shares and a foreign sales volume of 116.91 million shares, placing it in the final top-sell position.

However, with 93.03 million shares, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) recorded the greatest net buy today. Only over 87.64 million shares of this mining parent issuer were sold, while over 180 million shares were purchased by foreigners.

With a net buy of 60.17 million shares, e-commerce issuer PT Bukapak.com Tbk (BUKA) came in second, followed right away by renewable energy issuer PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), with 40.42 million shares. OASA's buy volume was 46.80 million shares, but BUKA's was over 208 million.

Following that, PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), the issuer of oil and gas tankers, obtained a net buy of 26.25 million shares, as a result of the total number of shares in foreign hands to over 33.23 million. Ultimately, PT Panin Financial Tbk closed the top buy list with a net buy of 19.47 million shares and 24.41 million shares purchased. (KD/ZH)
