New to MSCI Small Cap Index, 2 shares plummet
JAKARTA - Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) released a list of new issuers as constituents of the MSCI Small Cap Index effective as of March 3, 2025. The shares of two of the three constituent issuers of this index were corrected as of 14.20 WIB.
MSCI Indonesia data quoted on Wednesday (12/1), MSCI Small Cap Index announced three issuers that became new constituents, including PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk (INKP), PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), and PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk (CLEO).
Meanwhile, four other issuers dropped out of the index constituents, including PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA), PT BPD Jabar dan Banten Tbk (BJBR), PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA), and PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL).
In its evaluation, MSCI also released issuers that left the MSCI Global Standard Index constituents. These issuers are INKP, MDKA, and PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR).
On Wednesday afternoon (12/2), the stock performance of two newcomers to the MSCI Small Cap Index was corrected, namely, INKP corrected 1.67% to IDR 5,900 and MDKA shares fell 0.34% to IDR 1,450, while CLEO shares strengthened 7.90% to IDR 1,570. On the other hand, the stock performance of four issuers that left the MSCI Global Standard Index strengthened. (LK/LM)
