WIKA fails to repay 2 maturing bonds, what’s the total value?

JAKARTA – PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has defaulted on two maturing debt instruments, consisting of Series A of Shelf-Registration Bond II of 2022 Phase II and Series A of Shelf-Registration Sukuk Mudharabah II of 2022 Phase II.
Both debt instruments matured on February 18, 2025, but WIKA's management did not have enough cash to settle these obligations.
According to data compiled by IDNFinancials.com, WIKA issued the Series A of Shelf-Registration Bond II of 2022 Phase II with a principal amount of IDR 593.95 billion, a 3-year tenure, and an interest rate of 6.5% per annum.
Meanwhile, the Series A of Shelf-Registration Sukuk Mudharabah II of 2022 Phase II was issued with a principal amount of IDR 412.9 billion and also had a 3-year tenure.
Thus, the total maturing debt instruments that WIKA has failed to repay amounts to approximately IDR 1 trillion. (LK/KR/ZH)
