JAKARTA – PT Episenta Utama Investasi, one of the shareholders of PT Nusantara Pelabuhan Handal Tbk (PORT), increased its shareholding by purchasing 26.73 million shares on January 8, 2025.

Episenta Utama Investasi is a company controlled by Garibaldi Thohir, also known as Boy Thohir. According to the monthly securities holder registration report as of January 31, 2025, the company has continuously increased its stake in PORT.

Episenta Utama’s latest transaction was conducted at a price of IDR 818 per share, bringing the total value to IDR 21.86 billion. This price per share was higher than PORT’s closing price on January 8, 2025, which was recorded at IDR 770.

Harry Zulnardy, Director of Episenta Utama, stated that the transaction was made for investment purposes.

“With this transaction, Episenta’s shareholding in PORT has increased from 652.85 million shares (23.2%) to 679.58 million shares (24.2%),” he said in a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Thursday (20/2).

Meanwhile, China Merchants remains the controlling shareholder of PORT, with a 51% stake, equivalent to 1.43 billion shares. (DK/KR/ZH)
