Soegiarto Adikoesoemo continues accumulating AKRA, what for?

JAKARTA – Soegiarto Adikoesoemo, Commissioner and Controlling Shareholder of PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA), was reported to have purchased 916,000 AKRA shares on Monday, February 17, 2025.
The transaction was executed at a price of IDR 1,115 per share, which saw Soegiarto spending more than IDR 1 billion.
According to the stock exchange data, IDR 1,115 per share marked the highest price for AKRA shares that Monday, although the stock closed slightly lower at IDR 1,110.
This purchase raised Soegiarto’s ownership in the company by 0.005%, bringing his total stake to 0.651%.
Suresh Vembu, Corporate Secretary AKRA, claimed that this transaction is meant as investment of direct stock ownership.
As reported by IDNFinancials.com earlier this week (17/2), Soegiarto had also recently acquired 14.4 million AKRA shares in three separate transactions, spending a total of around IDR 15.93 billion.
Since the beginning of this week, or since Soegiarto initiated his first round of accumulation, AKRA shares have moved quite aggressively, recording growth of 11.82% to IDR 1,230 as of 2 PM WIB today (21/2). (ZH)
