JAKARTA – On Thursday, February 27, foreign investor transactions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange once more showed a net sell. The net sell of foreign transactions soared to 768.65 million shares today, compared to just 126.79 million shares on the previous trading day.

Comparing the volume of international buys and sells to the previous trading day (February 26), there was a significant rise. A total of over 4.71 billion shares of stock were purchased by foreign investors, sometimes known as foreign buys. Today, foreign investors registered a net sell of 768.65 million shares, with a sales volume (foreign sell) of 5.48 billion shares.

Today, PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the highest volume of foreign sell. More than 2.65 billion shares of this digital holding company were purchased by foreign investors, and 2.81 billion shares were sold. The IDX also recorded GOTO shares as the largest net sell today, at 161.13 million shares.

Second and third place went to two national banks, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI). Not far below GOTO, BBRI shares even saw a net sell of 160.65 million. Foreign investors purchased 91.35 million BBRI shares and sold 252 million. After foreigners purchased 157.42 million shares of BMRI, they also sold 246.75 million, resulting in a net sell of about 90 million shares.

Then came a net sell of 61.15 million shares by another bank, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA). BBCA’s sales volume was 167.17 million, while its foreign buying volume was 106.02 million. After foreigners sold more than 83.26 million shares of this e-commerce company's shares, PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) ended the top sell with a net sell of 36.25 million shares.

With a net buy of 23.11 million shares, oil and gas tanker issuer PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) topped the top buy list. With a net buy of 22.85 million shares, telecom issuer PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) came right after that figure.

Around 76 million BULL shares were sold, and nearly 100 million were purchased by foreign investors. EXCL's foreign buying volume was about 30 million, with a selling volume of roughly 7 million shares. Then, without purchasing a single share, foreigners purchased 18 million shares of PT Visi Media Asia Tbk (VIVA), a mass media issuer. This issuer's net buy ended the day at the same amount.

With net buys of 15 million BRMS and 14 million BBKP, respectively, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) and PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) are the two closing issuers on the top buy list. Today, foreign buyers purchased almost 98.58 million BRMS, while 83.48 million shares were sold. The BBKP's own buying volume was at 15.20 million, with approximately 1.12 million shares sold. (KD)
