JAKARTA - Jakarta Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) strengthened 3.97% or 249.06 points to 6,519.66 on Monday (3/3).

This increase ended the JCI decline rally which reached 7.83% in the last trading week. Throughout Monday's trading session, the JCI moved to touch its lowest level at 6,347.09 and highest at 6,570.95.

A number of big banks led the JCI gain on Monday. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI)  shares were the first Top Leaders, with a price gain of 9.23% and contributed 47.62 index points.

PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) followed in second place, with a price increase of 6.52% and contributed 26.80 index points, while PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) was in third place with a share price increase of 4.45% and contributed 24.40 index points.

The volume of stock trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Monday reached 20.79 billion shares, with a transaction value of IDR 15.79 trillion.

Although the JCI rose significantly, foreign investors still recorded a net sell of IDR137.91 billion on Monday, increasing their accumulated net sales since the beginning of 2025 to IDR22.04 trillion.

The majority of sectoral indices also supported the JCI gain. The Basic Materials sector led with the highest gain of 4.12%. Meanwhile, the Healthcare sector was the only sectoral index that weakened, with a slight decline of 0.01%. (KR/LM)
