Citi Indonesia appoints Wit Oemar to lead corporate banking business

JAKARTA - Citibank, N.A., Indonesia (Citi Indonesia) has appointed Wit Oemar as Head of Corporate Bank for Indonesia, effective from March 5, 2025.
Wit will report directly to K Balasubramanian (Head of Corporate Banking, Asia South, Citi) and Batara Sianturi (Chief Country Officer Citi Indonesia).
In his new position, Wit will lead Citi's corporate banking business unit in Indonesia. He will also play a role in developing strategies and expanding the bank's business.
"Under Wit's leadership, we will continue to improve business performance and strengthen Citi's presence in Indonesia," said K Balasubramanian, in his official statement.
Meanwhile Corporate Bank Head Asia South, Citi, Batara Sianturi, added that Wit has a solid track record. "He is an experienced leader, and his leadership will strengthen our vision as a key banking partner for institutions with cross-border needs," he said.
According to data compiled by IDNFinancials.com, Wit joined Citi Indonesia in 2006. He was among the founders of Citi Commercial Bank in Indonesia. Prior to this appointment, he led Global Network Banking, managing services for multinational clients. (KR/LM)
