Askrindo files PKPU petition against RICY

JAKARTA – PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) has filed a petition for a Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU) against PT Ricky Putra Globalindo Tbk (RICY).
In an information disclosure quoted on Thursday (6/3), Agnes Hermien Indrayati, Corporate Secretary of RICY, confirmed the PKPU petition through the Case Tracking Information System of the Commercial Court at the Central Jakarta District Court.
"According to this information, Askrindo submitted the PKPU petition last week (28/2)," she said.
She added that the company has yet to disclose the material details of the PKPU petition submitted by Askrindo.
"We first need to review the PKPU petition to determine our strategy in handling the case," she explained.
Nevertheless, RICY will participate in the PKPU process and prepare various resolution steps in accordance with applicable laws. "The management will try to resolve the matter through mutual consultation," she said.
The company has asked its legal representatives to communicate with the PKPU petitioner in an attempt to resolve the matter outside the Commercial Court, hoping for the PKPU petition to be withdrawn by the petitioner.
On another note, RICY's share price has corrected by 11.48%, or IDR 7, down to IDR 54 over the past week. As of the second session on Wednesday (6/3), the company’s stock fell by 12.90%, or IDR 8, to IDR 54. The price opened at IDR 61, with a low of IDR 52 per share. (LK/ZH)
