Net buy strengthens, here are the issuers with the largest net buy

JAKARTA – On Thursday, March 13, foreign investor transactions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange ended on a good note with a net buy. The number switched direction and concluded with a net buy of 217.04 million shares today, whereas the previous trading day's foreign net sell was modest at 23.78 million shares.
Compared to the previous trading day (12 March), there was a greater volume of international purchasing and selling. Around 3.57 billion shares were purchased by foreign buyers today, representing the total volume of foreign buys. Today, foreign investors registered a net buy of 217.04 million shares, with a sales volume (foreign sell) of 3.35 billion shares.
If GOTO shares were the largest net sell yesterday, PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) shares made the highest net buy today. This digital service issuer net bought 355.67 million shares, with almost 2.05 billion shares being purchased by foreigners and 1.69 billion shares being sold.
With a net buy of 39.34 million shares, shares of oil and gas tanker issuer PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) came in second, followed by shares of FMCG issuer PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR), which had a net buy of 37.32 million shares.
19.65 million BULL shares were sold and 58.99 million shares were purchased by foreign investors. They then sold 39.70 million shares and purchased 77.03 million UNVR shares.
Following the purchase of 49.23 million shares and the sale of 16.20 million shares, PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), a company that produces renewable energy, saw a net buy of 33.02 million shares. With a net buy of 28.88 million shares, PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) shares concluded the top buy list. About 13.37 million shares of this energy infrastructure issuer were sold by foreigners, while 42.26 million were purchased.
With a net sell of 79.44 million shares, shares of banking issuer PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) topped the top sell list. Only 56 million shares of BMRI were purchased by foreigners, whilst 135.40 million were sold.
PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), an e-commerce company, followed closely after with a net sale of 74.17 million shares. With less than 10 million shares purchased, BUKA's international sales volume was 84.15 million.
With net sell volumes of 46.25 million BBRI and 27.01 million BBNI, respectively, two additional national banks, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Nasional Indonesia Tbk (BBNI), also made it onto the top sell list. Foreign investors purchased 82.93 million BBRI shares but sold nearly 130 million of them, then purchased 5.20 million and sold 32.22 million BBNI shares.
Lastly, PT Wir Asia Tbk (WIRG), a technology issuer, saw a net sell of almost 42 million shares, with 8.53 million shares purchased from overseas and over 50.51 million shares sold. (KD)
