JAKARTA – The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) fell by 2.45%, or 156.04 points, to 6,258.29 at the start of session I at 10:26 WIB on Friday (21/3). The IHSG's decline also impacted other indices in the stock market.

According to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the index stood at 6,418.39 points at the opening of session I, reaching a high of 6,426.16, before dropping to a low of 6,218.60 points. Yesterday (20/2), the index closed at 6,381.67, gaining 1.11% or 70.01 points.

Other indices that corrected in the early session included LQ45, down 2.28% to 694.013, IDX30 down 2.39% to 361.193, IDX80 down 2.34% to 100.636, and IDXESG down 2.23% to 131.331 points.

Several large market cap stocks were in the red, including PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), down 1.79%, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) down 2.22%, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) down 3.28%, PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN) down 1.63%, and PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) down 2.22%.

On the other hand, some high-cap stocks showed gains, such as PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) up 2.13%, and PT DCI Indonesia Tbk (DCII) up 5.16%. (LK/ZH)
