BTN distributes IDR 53.6 per share dividend, how big is gov’t portion?

JAKARTA – PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN), a state-owned bank focused on housing finance, has announced plans to distribute a cash dividend of IDR 53.6 per share for the 2024 financial year, totalling IDR 751.8 billion.
This decision was approved by the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) of BBTN held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
The total dividend represents 25% of the net profit attributable to the parent entity, which amounted to IDR 3 trillion in 2024.
"Considering the capital adequacy ratio, the amount of loan expansion to be carried out this year, and the projected profit margin," said BBTN management during AGMS on Wednesday (26/3).
According to the minutes of AGMS, the Indonesian government will receive a dividend of IDR 451.1 billion from BBTN for the 2024 financial year, in line with its 60% ownership stake. It is worth noting that BBTN is one of the state-owned enterprises (BUMN) participating in the Danantara operational holding.
Referring to information disclosed by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the dividend will be paid to shareholders registered by March 16, 2025 at 16:15 WIB, and the payment will be made on March 25, 2025.
By the end of trading on Thursday (27/3), BBTN shares closed down 1.12% at IDR 885, resulting in an indicative dividend yield of 6%. (ZH)
