Kayu Agung-Palembang Toll vendor sued WSKT for PKPU
JAKARTA — PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) is sued for the Suspension of Debt Payment Obligation (lit. Penundaan Kewajiban Pembayaran Utang/PKPU) regarding its debts worth IDR 2.03 billion. The petitioner, CV Bandar Agung Abadi, is the vendor commissioned for the land work of the Kayu Agung-Palembang-Betung Toll Road Package II Section I.
Destiawan Soewardjono, President Director of Waskita Karya, claimed that this lawsuit will not affect the operational and financial performance of the company. "We are committed to the Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles and will comply with the legal process according to the applicable laws," he said, as quoted today (9/1).
The lawsuit had been filed in the Commercial Court of the Central Jakarta District Court on January 2, 2023, under case No.1/Pdt.Sus-PKPU/2023/PN Niaga Jkt Pst. The management had also received the subpoena for this case, of which the court session will be conducted on next Tuesday (10/1). (LK/ZH)
