Most local companies to give employees raise
JAKARTA. Approximately 82% companies in Indonesia will give their employees a salary raise in 2023, according to Salary Survey 2023 that is published by Robert Walters, a recruitment agency.
The raise, according to said survey, reaches 20% to 30%. The highest raise percentage will be applied to positions with special and rare competency.
The Robert Walters Survey also states that 81% of professional workers will ask for a raise to their respective companies. It also mentions that 82% of them will seek new jobs should they fail to be given a salary raise above average inflation rate, as their expenses will skyrocket.
"Besides salary, the companies may win over their employees by showcasing their stability and meaningful work culture. Options for remote and flexible working may also be included as added value as said demands are popular in 2023," Eric Mary, Country Manager of Robert Walters for Indonesia.
Approximately 63% of respondents in the survey also list competitive compensation and benefits as the vital point in choosing its future workplace. Then, 45% of them prioritise working method flexibility, while 41% of them focus on seeking work culture that supports the development of employees.
For the record, the survey conducted by Robert Walters are accumulated from eight work field specialisation. Besides Indonesia, the survey involves participants from 30 other countries. (KR/ZH)
