Trans Power secures new contract worth USD 10 million
JAKARTA – PT Trans Power Marine Tbk (TPMA) obtains a new contract for coal transportation from PT Indexim Coalindo worth USD 10 million.
As quoted today (20/1), Rudy Sutiono, Corporate Secretary of TPMA, said that the volume of the transportation load will reach 2.5 million metric tons (MT), which will be moved for the next two years, starting from the agreement signing yesterday (18/1).
On top of this new contract, TPMA also secures transportation contract extensions from its existing clients, including PT Borneo Indo Bara, PT Dian Ciptamas Agung, PT Pelayaran Bahtera Adiguna, PT Exploitasi Energi Indonesia, and PT Dwi Guna Laksana. The extension is set to additional one to three years.
Sutiono is confident that TPMA can fulfill said contract as earlier this year, the company has ordered and will receive seven sets of tugs and barges. The investment spent on those vessels clocks up to USD 20 million.
Furthermore, PT Trans Logistik Perkasa (TLP), a subsidiary of TPMA, will also take in 30 sets of tugs and barges for USD 80 million. TLP even plans to acquire 40 additional sets of tugs and barges next year. (LK/ZH)
