Indonesian govt eyes IDR 23 trillion in next week's SUN auction
JAKARTA. The Indonesian government once again holds a Government Bond (SUN) auction on Tuesday (14/2) next week, with an indicative target of IDR 23 trillion.
There are 7 series of SUN that will be offered in the auction. The details consist of 2 State Treasury Series (SPN) and 5 State Bonds (ON) FR series. Coupons offered for the SPN series are in the form of discounts, while for ON they are offered starting from 6.375% to 7.125%.
The auction will be carried out in accordance with Minister of Finance Regulation Number 168/PMK.08/2019 concerning SUN auctions on the Domestic Primary Market, as well as PMK Number 38/PMK.02/2020 regarding the implementation of state financial policies.
The SUN auction will be held using an open auction system, using the multiple price method. All investors can submit bids in the auction, through bidders who have been regulated by PMK.
Previously on 31 January 2023, the Government of Indonesia through the Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) of the Ministry of Finance had also held an auction for 8 series of SUN. In the auction, the number of bids that came in was recorded at IDR 67.08 trillion. Meanwhile, the nominal amount won was IDR 23 trillion. (KR/LM)
