JAKARTA. PT Adi Sarana Armada Tbk (ASSA) claims that the car rental business has shown significant recovery within the past three months as the economic condition improved in late 2022.

Prodjo Sunarjanto, President Director of ASSA, states that the growth of car rental business results from high demands from both corporates and government institutions. “It indicates that Indonesia’s economic condition has slowly recovered and improved after difficulties it faced during the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added in the press release.

In order to meet those demands, ASSA aims to secure additions to its fleet by up to 30 thousand units by the end of 2023. On top of this, the company will make more investments to support its business expansion to establish branches in other cities, including Lampung, Manado, and Surabaya.

Regarding other business lines, ASSA will continue to work on its end-to-end logistic solution. The company has made several initiatives, such as cargo share, payment on delivery, cold chain delivery, insurance, and drop-off points.

Sunarjanto also mentions that ASSA will keep exploring the potential in the logistics market targeted for Micro, Small, and Medium Businesses. The company is known to have made its way in the business-to-business (B2B) market through its well-known subsidiary, PT Tri Adi Bersama (Anteraja). (KR/ZH)
