Empowering female-preneurs, DANA launches SisBerdaya
JAKARTA – Coinciding with International Women's Day observed this March, DANA, a digital wallet service provider, along with Ant Group, launches SisBerdaya, a joint program that is designed to empower female entrepreneurs in Indonesia.
According to Carrie Suen, Senior Advisor, Global Affairs and Sustainability Strategies of Ant Group, SisBerdaya will focus on aiding female owners of micro and ultra-micro enterprises to thrive in the digital economy via providing training, monitoring, and educational programs. "We believe that this segment is the one that needs it the most and the most vital to make our initiative truly inclusive," she added during the Press Conference of SisBerdaya Program Launch in Jakarta earlier today (14/3).
Essentially, this joint social initiative is a competition, in which the winners may receive opportunities to advance their businesses further. It targets ultra-micro business owners, who book monthly revenue of IDR 1 to 10 million and manage less than or equal to 5 employees, as well as micro business owners, who record monthly revenue of IDR 11 to 30 million and manage 6 to 20 workers.
With SisBerdaya, DANA wishes to reach over 100,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) led by women. The registration for the participation in SisBerdaya has officially started today, March 14, 2023. For the record, DANA has prepared a total of over IDR 200 million of extra capital for the winners.
Recently launched this year, Agustina Samara, Chief People & Corporate Strategy of DANA, admitted that the management wishes to make this initiative an annual event. "Of course with the support of Bank Indonesia, Financial Services Authority (OJK), and the Ministry," she added. As of 11 AM today (14/3), DANA claimed to have recorded the registration of 134 MSMEs in SisBerdaya. (ZH)
