JAKARTA – The profit of  PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk (HEAL), the owner of Hermina Hospital network, plummeted 70.65% year-on-year (yoy) in 2022. HEAL arrived at this number after its revenue shrank, while its cost skyrocketed.

In the 2022 Financial Report quoted today (11/4), Hasmoro, President Director of HEAL, claimed that the company’s revenue sank 16.49% to IDR 4.90 trillion from IDR 5.86 trillion in 2021. The cost of revenue also took up 65.14% of total sales in 2022, higher than 49.49% seen in 2021.

With this increased cost, the gross profit was seen decreasing from IDR 2.96 trillion to IDR 1.70 trillion, also dragging down the operating profit by 66.76% yoy from IDR 1.76 trillion to IDR 587.37 billion. Furthermore, the current year’s profit also took a significant hit, shifting down from IDR 1.29 trillion to IDR 378.77 billion.

The inpatient services brought in IDR 2.83 trillion to the total revenue, declining from IDR 4.10 trillion in 2021. In contrast, the revenue from outpatient services increased from IDR 1.67 trillion to IDR 1.94 trillion, as did non-hospital services from IDR 86.88 billion to IDR 120.54 billion in 2022. (LK/ZH)
