Uni-Charm to allocate repurchased shares to MESOP
JAKARTA. PT Uni-Charm Indonesia Tbk (UCID) will reassign all shares repurchased during its buyback for its management and employee stock option programme (MESOP).
Vikry Ahmadi, Corporate Secretary of UCID, said that the shares transfer is a way of appreciating the employees for their contribution to the company. “This MESOP is designed for the company’s active employees with a certain position and evaluation level that are yet to be determined,” he said.
However, before carrying out this MESOP, UCID will first ask for approval from its shareholders in the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting scheduled on May 30, 2023.
According to IDNFinancials data, UCID’s stock price today weakens 15 points or declines 1.29% to IDR 1,150 per share. Within the past year, UCID’s stock price was corrected by up to 230 points or 16.67%.
Unicharm Corporation Japan still has a claim over 59.20% of UCID’s total shares, while PT Purinusa Ekapersada owns 20.8%, followed by public investors of 19.68%. Th remaining 0.32% is stored as treasury stock. (KR/ZH)
