Bukalapak eyes IDR 4.75 trillion revenue by year end
JAKARTA. PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), an e-commerce issuer listed on the stock exchange in August 2021, targets revenue of IDR 4.25 to IDR 4.75 trillion this year.
According to Teddy Nuryanto Oetomo, Director of BUKA, the company's revenue until the first quarter (Q1) has reached IDR 1 trillion. This acquisition is equivalent to 22% of the company's revenue target by the end of the year.
"We hope this year will not be flat, but will continue to increase," said Oetomo.
BUKA's revenue target for this year is around 17% to 31% higher, compared to revenue in 2022. The company is even targeting adjusted EBITDA and positive operating profit at the end of this year.
In Q1 2023, BUKA's adjusted EBITDA was still minus IDR 209 billion. Adjusted EBITDA is targeted to be minus IDR 150 billion to IDR 175 billion in the second quarter (Q2), then targeted to reach minus IDR 125 billion to IDR 100 billion in the third quarter (Q3), and is targeted to be positive in the last quarter.
