Gov’t eyes IDR 17 trillion in next week’s SUN auction
JAKARTA. The Indonesian government will once again hold a tender for Government Securities (lit. Surat Utang Negara/SUN) next Tuesday (16/5), aiming to gain IDR 17 trillion.
The auction is intended to fulfil a portion of the financing target set in the 2023 State Budget. The auction will begin on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, starting from 9 AM WIB to 11 AM WIB. The settlement date is set to May 19.
There will be 7 series of SUN that will be offered in the auction, consisting of 2 series of Government Treasury Notes (lit. Surat Perbendaharaan Negara/SPN) and 5 series of Government Bonds (lit. Obligasi Negara/ON) of FR series.
The coupon set for SPN is discounts, while ON is equipped with an interest of 6.37% to 7.12%.
The auction will be held using the tender system arranged by Bank Indonesia. All interested parties may submit their bids through the members of the auction authorised by the Ministry of Finance.
According to IDNFinancials record, the government had previously held a SUN auction on April 11, 2023. In this auction, the total incoming bids clocked up to IDR 44.99 trillion, while the awarded amount was IDR 16.05 trillion. (KR/ZH)
