JAKARTA – The shareholders of PT Batavia Prosperindo Internasional Tbk (BPII) have approved the plan of cash dividend distribution of a maximum IDR 31.44 billion following its profit surge in 2022. Last year, the company chose not to grant dividend despite its 2021 profit of IDR 159.03 billion.

In the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (24/5), Jenny Sutio, Corporate Secretary of Batavia Prosperindo Internasional, confirmed that the company will give out cash dividend of IDR 61 per share on June 12. The shareholders eligible for this dividend are those who are listed as official shareholders by the recording date on June 5, 2023.

The cum and ex dividend in the regular and negotiation market has been set to May 30-31, followed by the cum and ex dividend in the cash market on June 5-6.

The base reference for this dividend allocation is BPII’s net profit in 2022 of IDR 600.22 billion, its unrestricted retained earnings of IDR 1.42 trillion, and total equity of IDR 1.47 trillion.

In 2022, BPII had set aside the entire 2021 profit, of IDR 159.03 billion, as its working capital. (LK/ZH)
