JAKARTA - PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID) recorded a 23% revenue growth in the first quarter of 2023, but still posted a loss like the same period last year.

Data compiled by idnfinancial.com on Monday (5/6), this issuer posted revenue of US$ 409 million or the equivalent of IDR 6.13 trillion in the first quarter of 2023, growing from US$ 332.25 million from the same period last year. The majority sales contributor to third parties was US$ 409.96 million.

Customers with a contribution of more than 10% of total revenue include PT Berau Coal US$ 111.84 million, PT Indonesia Pratama US$ 72.78 million, PT Adaro Indonesia US$ 50.22 million, and BM Alliance Coal Operations Pty Ltd US$ 39.84 million.

As quoted in a press release, Ronald Sutardja, President Director of DOID, said that the increase in revenue was in line with the growth in overburden removal volume to 134.4 million bank cubic meters (bcm) from the previous 123.5 million bcm.

Even though the issuer's income grew, the loss for the current period was recorded at US$ 619,546, up from the first quarter of 2022, which lost US$ 461,546. This loss was influenced by, among others, increases in operating expenses and finance expenses, which caused profit before tax to fall to US$ 737,794 from US$ 1.72 million. (LK/LM)
