Profit skyrocketing, yet BMSR to hold off dividend
JAKARTA - PT Bintang Mitra Semestaraya Tbk (BMSR) has not distributed dividends for two consecutive years despite profiting in both 2021 and 2022. In 2020, the company faced a loss of IDR 1.27 billion, before securing multi-fold increase in its profit.
Based on the data compiled by IDNFinancials today (13/6), the issuer recorded net profit attributable to the parent entity of IDR 375.48 billion in the fiscal year 2022, and in 2021, it scored IDR 179.42 billion of profit. This impressive performance has yet to be accompanied with dividend distribution to its rightful investors.
The profit growth of BMSR cannot be separated from its revenue surge within the past two years, reaching IDR 4.83 trillion in 2022 and IDR 3.30 trillion in 2021. In 2020, the revenue was recorded at IDR 2.59 trillion.
Until March 2023, this trade service provider managed to collect IDR 1.22 trillion of revenue and IDR 22.07 billion of net profit attributable to the parent company. (LK/ZH)
