Introducing 3 coal miners with huge dividend
JAKARTA – Three coal mining issuers with jumbo market capitalisation plan dividend distributions for the fiscal year 2022. Below are three coal mining companies with bountiful dividend to be disbursed this year.
Based on IDNFinancials data today (16/6), PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) recorded market cap of IDR 65.25 trillion in May 2023. The issuer channels out dividend of USD 1 billion from its 2022 net profit of USD 2.49 billion. Using the Bank Indonesia (BI) mid-rate on June 6, 2023, (the dividend payment date) of IDR 14,839 per USD, the total dividend clocks up to IDR 14.83 trillion.
Until December 2022, ADRO posted revenue of USD 3.62 billion, shifting from USD 3.45 billion in 2021. The retained earnings were reported at USD 4.41 billion, while the equity was totalled USD 6.52 billion.
PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) gave out dividend of IDR 12.6 trillion from the 2022 net profit of IDR 12.6 trillion in total. Its total market cap until May 2023 was IDR 35.23 trillion. Its revenue managed to reach IDR 42.68 trillion in December 2022, increasing from IDR 29.26 trillion in 2021. Its total equity was worth USD 28.91 billion, growing from USD 24.25 billion.
PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN) recorded market cap of IDR 500 trillion until May 2023. The dividend allocated by the company was USD 800 million, taken out of its 2022 net profit of USD 2.17 billion. Using BI mid-rate on May 23, 2023 of IDR 14,878 per USD, the dividend is equal to IDR 11.90 trillion.
Until December 2022, BYAN booked revenue of USD 4.70 billion, shifting from USD 2.85 billion in 2021. Its retained earnings were at USD 1.81 billion, and the equity was totalled to USD 1.99 billion. (LK/ZH)
