JAKARTA. PT Indika Energi Tbk (INDY), through its subsidiaries, has established two new subordinate companies that are projected to operate in the electric vehicle (EV) rental businesss.

Adi Pramono, Corporate Secretary of INDY, reveals that these new subsidiaries are called PT Kalista Rotom Orbita (KRO) and PT Kalista Soter Hastia (KSH). Both were formed through PT Kalista Nusa Armada (KNA) and PT Solusi Mobilitas Indonesia (SMI), subsidiaries both directly and indirectly owned by INDY.

Pramono states that the company’s investment in KRO and KSH is a strategy of INDY Group to expand its business in the EV sector. “Specifically in business-to-business in Indonesia,” he added.

The total investment spent by KNA and SMI to establish KRO is IDR 15 billion, 99.993% of which originate from KNA, and another 0.007% are from SMI. Meanwhile, the investment for KSH clocks up to IDR 37.5 billion, in which KNA owns 99.997% of the shares, whereas SMI has another 0.003%. (KR/ZH)
