JAKARTA - On Friday, July 21, PT Multipolar Tbk acquired more than 2.69 billion shares of the holding company PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA). This existing investor, which is a member of the Lippo Group, previously owned 39.08% of MPPA, but this time's share purchase increased its ownership to 53.71%. Matahari Putra Prima itself is a company that manages the store networks of the Matahari Department Store network, Time Zone family entertainment center, Boston Drugstore, and other business units.

Next, PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO), an oil and gas mining company, announced the addition of two large new investors. First, PT Sentosa Bersama Mitra acquired 206.81 million shares to become the new owner of 20.51% of PTRO. Moreover, PT Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia purchased 105.33 million shares, becoming the new 10.44% PTRO holder. Its controlling shareholder, PT Caraka Reksa Optima, on the other hand, was seen releasing 312.15 million shares. Its ownership dropped significantly as well, from 84.91% to 53.96%.

Following that, PT BCA Sekuritas decided to begin investing in PT Berlina Tbk (BRNA) by purchasing 104.65 million shares and directly owning 10.69% of this plastic issuer. In contrast, BRNA's controller, PT Dwi Satrya Utama, sold 104.65 million shares, reducing ownership from 54.57% to 43.88%. At the vehicle assembly issuer, PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional Tbk (IMAS), large volumes of shares were bought and sold as well. PT Sejahtera Raya Perkasa sold 65 million shares, which were promptly taken up by PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk.

Furthermore, GOTO Peopleverse Fund has been seen selling shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), this time as many as 11.90 million shares. Finally, individual investor Harry Sanusi sold 10 million shares of PT Kino Indonesia Tbk (KINO), a fast-moving consumer goods company. (KD)
