JAKARTA – PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL) or Mitratel collected current year’s profit of IDR 1.02 trillion in H1 2023, shifting 14.70% from IDR 891.54 billion seen in the same period in 2022. This number rose as the revenue grew, supported by other income sources.

H1 2023 Financial Report quoted Thursday (27/7) mentioned that MTEL managed to book revenue of IDR 4.12 trillion, shifting 10.81% upwards year-on-year (yoy) from IDR 3.72 trillion. Similarly, the gross profit jumped from IDR 1.78 trillion to IDR 2.04 trillion, while the operating profit rose to IDR 1.78 trillion from IDR 1.55 trillion.

The primary contributor of Mitratel’s revenue is telecommunication tower leasing to related parties, such as PT Telkomsel and TLKM, which generated IDR 2.38 trillion. Then, the third party brought in IDR 1.44 trillion, followed by the income from the construction services to related parties of IDR 281.90 billion, and the same services to third parties of IDR 13.90 billion. Lastly, the electricity lease to Telkomsel and other services contributed IDR 6.72 billion.

In the same period last year, the income from telecommunication tower leasing to related parties amounted to IDR 3.31 trillion. Then, the construction services to related and third parties brought home IDR 404.37 billion, while the electricity lease to Telkomsel and other services supplied another IDR 9.90 billion. (LK/ZH)
