JAKARTA. PT Selamat Sempurna Tbk (SMSM), an automotive and spare part manufacturer, will schedule an interim dividend distribution worth IDR 143.97 billion next month.

Ang Andri Pribadi, Director of Finance of SMSM, said that this plan is in line with the decision of the board of directors. “It had been approved by the board of commissioners on July 28, 2023,” he said in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

The interim dividend will be given to SMSM’s rightful investors whose names have been listed as official shareholder by August 9, 2023. The interim dividend payment will take place on August 23, 2023.

According to IDNFinancials data, SMSM recorded net profit of IDR 429.34 billion in the first half of 2023. At the end of this period, the company also still owned unrestricted retained earnings of IDR 2.77 trillion and total equity worth IDR 3.42 trillion.

As of now, approximately 50.54% of SMSM is under the control of PT Adrindo Intiperkasa. Public investors claim another 41.48%, while the remaining portion belongs to several directors and commissioners of the company. (KR/ZH)
