BNI Multifinance secures IDR 400 billion capital
JAKARTA. PT BNI Multifinance, one of subsidiaries of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), has acquired an extra capital injection of IDR 400 billion.
This additional capital then increases BBNI's portion in BNI Multifinance to 99.997% from the initial 99.994%. The remaining portion of 0.003% belongs to Employees' Cooperative Unit of BNI Multifinance.
Okki Rushartomo, Corporate Secretary of BBNI, comfirmed that the extra capital was given on August 21, 2023. With this added capital, BNI Multifinance is expected to have a more solid capitalisation.
"Also, it will encourage the transformation currently initiated by BNI Multifinance, which will focus on the consumer segment," Rushartomo mentioned in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
According to IDNFinancials data, BNI Multifinance is a company engaged in the financing sector operating since 1993. BBNI's total assets as of June 30, 2023, were recorded at IDR 1.6 trillion. (KR/ZH)
