JAKARTA. PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) has distributed capital of IDR 120 billion to its sharia business unit, namely PT Bank KB Bukopin Syariah (KBBS).

The capital injection was given in the form of an escrow account, according to BBKP Management in an information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) today. The capital injection was made on September 29.

The capital was provided in order to strengthen KBBS's capital and the company's commitment as controlling shareholder. "To ensure KBBS activities run well," wrote BBKP Management.

Currently BBKP holds 16.42 billion KBBS shares. This is equivalent to 92.78% of KBBS' issued and fully paid-up capital.

According to idnfinancials.com data, BBKP had cash of IDR 451.34 billion as of June 30, 2023. The company's total assets were recorded at IDR 87.51 trillion, while its total equity was recorded at IDR 17.37 trillion. (KR/LM)
