JAKARTA – Driven by even growth in all business segments, PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL) scored net profit growth of up to 8.2% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 402 billion at the end of the third quarter (Q3) of 2023.

“Diversification of ICT products and services, as well as a large customer base, allows MTDL to grow sustainably,” said Susanto Djaja, President Director of MTDL.

Net profit generated by business and consultation unit of MTDL reportedly soared 19.8% yoy, thanks to its revenue that made a sharp upturn of 22.9% yoy to IDR 4.4 trillion.

In addition, distribution unit also recorded slight jump in net profit of 2.3% yoy, although the revenue was corrected 4% yoy to IDR 11.4 trillion.

“The total consolidated revenues were stable at IDR 15 trillion,” added Randy Kartadinata, Director of MTDL.

On the other hand, due to poor performance of Rupiah against US Dollar, whilst MTDL has exposure to foreign currencies of up to 20% of total sales, the company is preparing hedging.

However, MTDL maintains its optimism. “We hope that at the end of the year, we will still achieve net profit growth of around 8% yoy," concluded Randy. (ZH)
