JAKARTA. PT Humpuss Transportasi Curah (HTC), one of subsidiaries of PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI), has reportedly acquired 1 unit of new tug boat titled Ocean Hematite.

The acquisition value of this new unit is IDR 4.5 billion. It is purchased from PT Kemas Sejahtera Lestari (KSL), a company unaffiliated with HUMI.

“The vessel acquisition aims to reinforce the growth of the subsidiary of the company,” Tirta Hidayat, President Director of HUMI, confirmed in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Prior to this, HUMI is known to have purchased a tanker for USD 6 million, back on November 14, 2023. This vessel acquisition is intended to meet the market demand for biodiesel 35 (B35), methanol.

According to IDNFinancials data, HUMI recorded cash and cash equivalent of USD 42.95 million as of September 2023. Its total assets clocked up to USD 254.56 million, and its total equity reached USD 164.03 million. (KR/ZH)
