JAKARTA – A subsidiary of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), PT Amman Mineral Industri (AMI), mentioned that the progress of construction of copper smelting facility and precious metal refinery had reached 76.1% and 72.7% at the end of December 2023.

This progress was recorded surpassing the construction target of both facilities. Copper smelter is projected to reach 72.4% of progress at the end of 2023, while the precious metal refinery is estimated to be 72.1% completed.

These national strategic projects are targeted to be completed in May 2024. “Stating the commissioning process in June 2024,” added the Vice President of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations AMMAN, Kartika Octaviana.

According to the information disclosure today (5/2) in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the total capacity of these two facilities is projected to reach 900 thousand kilo ton per year of concentrate, which will be extracted from Batu Hijau mine and Elang project.

“Output from the smelter will reach 222 ktpa of copper cathode and 830 ktpa of sulfuric acid. The PMR facility will produce 18 tpa of gold bullion, 55 tpa of silver bullion and 70 tpa of selenium,” Octaviana concluded. (ZH)
