Asep Sabanda to resign, now from ZATA and IPPE
JAKARTA - Asep Sulaeman Sabanda (ASS) has resigned from his position as President Commissioner in two separate companies, PT Indo Pureco Pratama Tbk (IPPE) dan PT Bersama Zatta Jaya Tbk (ZATA). Previously, Sabanda reportedly resigned from the similar position in PT Beton Berkah Sadaya Tbk (BEBS).
Based on the data compiled by IDNFinancials today (20/2), Sabanda has submitted his resignation letter to the management of both companies last week (15/2). The process will have to await approval from General Meeting of Shareholders of those companies.
The reason behind Sabanda’s resignation from his position in ZATA and IPPE is not disclosed. However, it is assumed due to him being able to focus more on the Suspension of Debt Payment Obligation (PKPU) lawsuit that was filed against him by several creditors, in relation to his title as President Director of PT Sumber Energi Alam Mineral (SEAM).
ZATA and IPPE are known not to be affiliated with SEAM. Thus, the PKPU lawsuit is believed not to be able to disrupt operational activities of both companies.
Sabanda is known as the ultimate beneficial owner of ZATA and IPPE’s shares. In terms of company structure, the controllers of both ZATA and IPPE is PT Lembur Sadaya Investama (SLI) that is located in Cidahu, Pagaden Barat, Subang, West Java. (LK/ZH)
