JAKARTA - On Friday, March 8, foreign investors purchased shares, totaling 2.54 billion shares. With a foreign sales volume of around 2.09 billion shares, net foreign volume ended up with a surplus of 455.10 million shares. The digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the most shares purchased, totaling 804.30 million with a net volume of 353.64 million.

In the banking industry, 137.06 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and 38.15 million shares of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) were acquired. This transaction resulted in BBRI's net volume of 68.32 million shares and BRIS’s of 32.20 million. In addition, 45.37 million shares of PT Sumber Energi Andalan Tbk (ITMA), a mining and energy consultancy services firm, were purchased, for a net volume of 44.62 million shares. Foreign investors also purchased 51.35 million shares of retail retailer PT MAP Aktif Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPA), with a net volume of 33.98 million.

On the other side, the top-sell list began with the sale of 80 million shares of the telecommunications company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) for a net volume of -69.46 million shares. PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) shares in the field of electric vehicle battery production were then sold for 67.79 million shares, with a net volume of -62.59 million shares, followed by the sale of 79.57 million shares in PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), which engaged in the distribution of electric vehicles, with a net volume of -52.31 million. In the coal mining industry, foreign investors sold 82.85 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) for a net volume of -49.26 million shares.
