Restructuring business, UNTR to divest some subsidiaries
JAKARTA. PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), an Astra Group company, has divested some of the shares of its subsidiaries as a means of restructuring to support the company's sustainable vision in reducing carbon emission.
Sara K. Loebis, Corporate Secretary of UNTR, confirmed that 24,750 shares of PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) in PT Wana Rimba Nusantara (WNR) have been divested for IDR 24.97 billion. The divestment is directed to PT Pertiwi Nusantara Raya (PNR), a company also owned by UNTR through PAMA.
"The purpose of this transaction is a way of restructuring the company's group. After the transaction, WRN will be PNR's subsidiary, a company engaged in the management of forestry, environment conservation, and environmental services," added Loebis in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
After this divestment, PAMA will no longer claim WRN's shares directly, but through PNR.
According to IDNFinancials data, yesterday (17/4), UNTR's stock price was closed 2.57% or 675 points to IDR 25,575 per share. However, since the beginning of this year, it has increase 8.95% or 2,100 points. (KR/ZH)
