JAKARTA. PT Segar Kumala Indonesia Tbk (BUAH), a retail specialised in selling various fruits, has established a significant number of cold storage facilities located in Pekanbaru and Samarinda.

Syanne, Corporate Secretary of BUAH, said that this capacity improvement is carried out after the company opened its third branch in Sumatera late 2023. The addition of cold storage facility, said Syanne, is a form of the company’s response following the quite positive sentiment in the market earlier this year.

“We are optimistic that the potential of the latest branch, and the market demand for fresh imported fruits will continue to increase every year,” said Syanne. “With this strategic measure, the company’s performance will be maximised, thus being able to attain the target throughout 2024,” she added.

The total capacity of these cold storage facilities in 400 tons; consisting of 250 tons in Pekanbaru and 150 tons in Samarinda.

Syanne said that this expansion is conducted based on BUAH’s target to open 2 branches within one year. In addition, she mentioned that this measure is in line with the company’s commitment in expanding its distribution chain. (KR/ZH)
