Telkom’s capex realisation reached IDR 5.1 trillion in Q1 2024
JAKARTA. PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), widely regarded as Telkom, had spent capital expenditure (capex) worth IDR 5.1 trillion throughout Q1 2024.
Most of the capex in this period is spent on network infrastructure and the enhancement of user experience of TLKM. The realisation of this capex is equal to 13.6% of total revenue in Q1 2024.
The management of TLKM further revealed that several vital projects that utilises a lot of capex in Q1 2024 include the spread of 4G and 5G Base Transceiver Station (BTS), as well as the construction of a high-speed satellite. In addition, international submarine cable and data centre development also take up some of the allocated capex.
For the record, TLKM is currently focusing on optimising the synergy from investments in all backbone access network and IT infrastructure to improve efficiency. Furthermore, the company also continues to reaffirm its position as a global-scale digital telecommunication company.
Throughout Q1 2024, TLKM scored revenue of IDR 37.4 trillion, up 3.71% year-on-year (yoy). Most of the revenue cme from internet and cellular data segment, which covered IDR 17.7 trillion.
Meanwhile, TLKM’s net profit as of Q1 2024 was reported declining 5.78% yoy to IDR 6.05 trillion. In the same quarter last year, its net profit was seen arriving at IDR 6.42 trillion. (KR/ZH)
