JAKARTA - On Monday, May 13, foreign investors were selling 504.19 million shares of the telecommunications company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) for a net volume of -448.64 million shares. This sale contributed to an increase in foreign sell volume to around 3.60 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign buy volume was only 3.49 billion shares, resulting in a deficit net foreign volume of -108.77 million shares.

Apart from that, shares in three banking businesses, namely PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), were the next target for share sales. Foreign investors sold 254.78 million BBRI shares (net volume: -86.57 million), 108.41 million BMRI shares (net volume: -36.52 million), and 102.43 million BBCA shares (net volume: -27.37 million). Shares of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), an investor business that operates telecommunications towers, were also sold for up to 41.04 million shares, with a net volume of -28.69 million shares.

Moving to the top-buy list, shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) ranked first after 1.24 billion shares were purchased for a net volume of 328.52 million. In the renewable energy sector, around 88.99 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) were purchased, with the net volume being 83.69 million shares. Foreign investors also purchased 174.69 million shares of the coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) for a net volume of 62.20 million shares, followed by 76.30 million shares of the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) for a net volume of 45.84 million shares. Finally, 38.08 million shares of PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL), a telecommunications operator, were purchased, with a net volume of 30.25 million shares. (KD)
